It has been said, “The only constant in life is change.” How true!
Think a moment about Easter Sunday afternoon. In my area of Calgary the afternoon was a parade of change. We had dark cloudy periods broken by brilliant warm sunshine that melted patches of snow on the lawn. Then there was a sudden drop in temperature and about one inch of swirling, drifting, falling snow turned the brown grass white. Change!
In the midst of all this a flock of about 35 Robins descended on the lawn looking for something to eat. Robins in a snow storm; “change in all around I see.” Then it dawned on me; isn’t that the message of Easter Day? The old Order of Death has been defeated; the new Creation of Eternal Life has begun.
God’s love is forever constant; but God’s Creation, of which you and I are a part, is always changing as God renews it moment by moment.
