A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has accepted the invitation from Alberta Health Services to receive their vaccination shots against COVID19. The percentage of Albertans who are vaccinated rises daily. By taking this action we are expressing our love for those who are near and dear to us, for our neighbours both the stranger and the person next door, for our local shop- keepers and businesses who are slowly reopening, and for our self. There will be some of us who due to age or medical conditions may be advised by the Doctor not to receive the vaccine; but, by our “herd immunity” we are protecting them—like the Buffalo herd in the presence of danger forming a circle to protect the more vulnerable in the centre.

However, there is a Yellow Flag flying over our joyful achievement—many countries in our World are far behind us in vaccination rates due to the lack of affordable vaccines. We who are blessed must encourage our leaders to take action to redress this situation. God has given us the tools to overcome this pandemic, and God expects us to use them for the benefit of all people.
