Have you seen it? I lost it somewhere between going to sleep Saturday evening and waking very early Sunday morning. A whole sixty minutes just vanished! Poof! I am told to ignore it, that sometime next Fall it will re-appear just like little Bo Peep’s sheep. Baah, says the clock on the wall.
Yes, the hours of sunlight are steadily growing as the Earth does its orbital dance around the Sun. Happily we do have the constant pulsing Sun steadily sharing its gift of light with us, and the good old Moon and stars still shine in the night. Happily, the Creator of all, knowing our daily need for activity and for rest, has designed what we call the Laws of Nature to guide the Universe so that Life throughout the Cosmos, in its countless forms and states, may flourish.
Ok, I will try to ignore the hour I have lost and give thanks for the longer sun-lite hours which I am receiving. I will remember the words of the Psalmist, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”
