This is day 20 of our Lenten Journey. Lent this year may be feeling a little different due to the COVID19 restrictions which prevent us from gathering physically to talk, to listen, and to pray. However, we are on the right path.
In his letter to the Ephesians Paul reminds us that when we put our faith in Jesus Christ, God raised us from death to new life in Christ. Now we live and walk with Jesus who was raised to eternal life on Easter Day. We are indeed on the right path as we seek our Saviour’s help and guidance moment by moment, day by day. The presence of the Holy Spirit within us strengthens us, bringing to mind words of Scripture to encourage us, and opening our hearts to be the loving child of God, member of Christ, and inheritor of the kingdom of heaven, all of which God bestowed upon us at our Baptism.
In this Lenten Journey as you follow the Public Health Protocols you might consider reading the Psalms, memorizing verses that speak to how you are feeling and which bring you comfort. Ask the Saviour to lead you and you will find “ ‘tis God’s hand that lead-eth (you).” [hymn:”He Leadeth Me”, Joseph H. Gilmore, 1862]
