Clara has been the Rector at St. George’s since October 2015.  Clara was ordained in 2012 and spent her first 3 years at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in inner-city Calgary.  She has a BA in History from Queen’s University and received her Master of Divinity from Vancouver School of Theology in 2009, graduating with top honours.  Clara has a long connection with the ecumenical Community of Taize in France, and a background in non-profit management.  Now as a priest, Clara unites these varied experiences into a ministry of building up faithful, compassionate community and managing wisely.  In addition to her work at St. George’s, Clara will continue working part-time for the Diocese to strengthen rural congregations, a passion of hers for many years.  Clara is an animal lover: she has a characterful horse named Brodie, and she and her husband Michael have a young Border Terrier named Jonah.
